If you ski, snowboard, or enjoy other snow sports, choosing sunglasses with the right color tints can help you perform at your best. Certain tints are appropriate for certain weather conditions:

  • YELLOW/AMBER: These tints increase contrast and enhance depth perception, big plusses when you're surrounded by white. They may not be the best choice in very sunny conditions, however.
  • ROSE: Pinkish tints improve low-light visibility and are good for cloudy days.
  • MIRRORED: Glasses with mirrored lenses reflect back light and make objects look darker. These are especially helpful in extremely bright conditions, such as alpine skiing.
