Headaches and Exercise
If you frequently have tension headaches, here's more motivation to get fit. Some research suggests that those who suffer from headaches show a decrease in frequency and intensity of headaches when they increase and improve upon their physical workouts. Working out calms the body by helping your brain release endorphins which help decrease pain and promote feelings of well-being.
A note to migraine sufferers: While aerobic exercise appears not to be as beneficial as it is to folks with tension headaches, some experts believe that low-impact, low-intensity exercise at the first signs of migraine may be helpful.
