Do You Eat When You're Bored?
If so, you are not alone. Most Americans eat when they are bored. Next time you are bored, here are a few suggestions to keep yourself away from the refrigerator or snack cupboard:
- Go for a walk
- Call a friend
- Listen to music
- Play a game
- Go to the gym
Mindful eating takes time and may not come naturally. Before you eat, practice. Ask yourself, "Am I really hungry right now? Or am I eating because I am bored and have nothing else to do?"
